I got this quiz from Lena-Lou's Blog - take it and see who you are.

You scored as Albus Dumbledore. You are very wise, observant, and analyctical. You have a very "well-organized" mind, which makes you function in a calm and fair manner. Though you get angered easily, its rare of you to ever act our of temper. You are constantly seeing the good in people and are naturally forgiving because of it. You're easy to please and a great person to learn from.

No Stitching but BUYING

I know... boring boring no stitching pictures of stuffs I have stitched because I haven't done any stitching in the past week or so waiting for my Lap Stand to arrive, which still hasn't so I'm going to stitch today thats for sure. But I have been incredibly tired and to be honest that is really the worst, as far as I am concerned, about the MS. It's the dreadful tiredness that just is sometimes and I don't have the energy to even stitch. I just didn't like the idea of just not posting and thought I didn't have anything much to post on here about because I really haven't done anything much. No stitching. But ...

Oh how could I? I almost forgot!!! I did buy something great. REALLY GREAT, I MEAN REALLY REALLY REALLY GREAT. And I'm really really excited about it because I never thought it was something I would never be able to get.

It's by Merry Cox and was the one thing I absolutely really really wanted and now will soon have. I can't believe it. So guess I will show it to you all - it's Merry Cox's Diminutive Sewing Set

I know it wasn't on my exceptions of the challenge but number one I never ever expected to be able to get it and number two when it was offered I JUST couldn't say no. I had to say yes because I have wanted it so badly for so long. Years in fact. I just love her designs so very very much and they are so hard to come by if you can't get to one of her classes which at the moment I just can't. Maybe one day she will come to the U.K. and then I can go to a class of hers for real. Either that or I go to LA to stay with my brother and do it that way one day. But certainly not this side of my birthday which is 30th of April and I'm getting older by the second that's for sure and not liking it one little bit. Why can't we just stay as young as we feel. You see these old people out in the street now or wherever and now I wonder how they really feel. I can remember my mother coming back from one of her holidays and saying that there were some young boys and one had told the other to be careful of the old lady and she turned around wondering who the old lady was and realised with a shock that they were talking about her!

Well that's all from me for today except to say I am really really excited at being able to have this lovely piece and can't wait to start stitching it and I don't begrudge the money I spent on it at all. So, until next time ....

Nothing Much Really - OH YES THERE WAS LOADS

I know this is boring but I haven't anything much to share with you right now. It's been a really busy week for me and I haven't even stitched very much. In fact what I have stitched I frogged most of. The darn frog has definitely been here and every time I have made a mistake and found it I frogged!!! That and I've been really tired with all this going out and about - I did stay in yesterday and glad I was about that because it snowed and was very very cold neither of which I like much. Right now I am waiting for Lily to come to stay. Sammy has not been a good boy so she is coming and when I spoke to Sara before Lily was really excited. Last Friday I had both of them and it was really lovely but hard work and tomorrow night there are 8 for dinner. By the way I have now lost 17lbs in 5 weeks - I said 4 but it's really 5 except for one of the weeks I was off the diet so I think I can honestly say it's 4 because I have only done it for 4 weeks. G-d I contradict myself sometimes. Ok here it goes again ... I have lost 17lbs in 4 weeks and this has never and I mean never ever happened before in my life. When I did the diet the first time some 6 and a half years ago I had weeks where I lost only 2lbs and weeks where I lost nothing at all and that's on 450calories a day which isn't much fun I can tell you. So what I have I done differently? I have been taking Green Tea capsules and they really really work because the weight is literally dropping off and to say I'm delighted it putting this mildly.

There are now only 9 weeks left until my James is getting married to his Danielle. I have now bought practically my entire outfit for the wedding but I still need to get something for the Sabbath 2 weeks before the wedding as James is getting called up in Synagogue - it's called an ufruf and is a really lovely ceremony and I'm really looking forward to it - all except I shall have to wear a hat in Shul (also known as Synagogue or Temple). I have 7 weeks before that happens and I will have to take my dress for the wedding to have it taken in then because I can't leave it any nearer the wedding than that, but hopefully I will lose more weight in the final two weeks as well so the dress won't be tight and I won't look like a giant bluey green sight not to be seen. I would show you my dress but heck I'll wait until I've actually worn it and can put up a photo of me in it. Then you'll all get a shock I can tell you but you don't think I'm this fat but I am! I have gazillions to lose that's for sure and I can't lose it all that's also for sure.

Lily was so good last night I just can't tell. I put her to bed and she didn't get up once until around 8 this morning. So different from having Sammy who gets out of bed all the time and comes downstairs and also gets up at 6am. So every other Saturday I'll get to sleep late.

By the way I got my copy of The Proper Stitch this morning. I bought it from KathyB on the Legacy Board because she ordered it twice and I really wanted it and now I have it and Kathy is quite right I LOVE IT!!! It's the best book ever.

The other thing is I've ordered a new lapstand. The photo of it is above and this is what I got with it

WITH EXTENSION RODS

Here's what you get:

Frame/Lap Stand
Fully adjustable and swings straight up to tie-off back side of project.

24" Adapter Bar

Scroll Rods in the following sizes:
2 ea. 6"
2 ea. 8"
2 ea. 10"
4 ea. 12"
2 ea. 14"
2 ea. 18"
2 ea. 20"

10 Knobs

6 Washers

6 Yds of EZ Stitch NoBasting System Velcro for Fabric

I really wanted their floor frame but it seems they have stopped making it :-) Here is their website I looked and investigated and looked again and this seems to be the best product on the market I think. At least it didn't cost me an arm and a leg and a few other bodily parts.

Last but by no means least I haven't even started on ATS because I am waiting for the lapstand to arrive - so much for my new rotation! Next month - I'll start it in March instead, so in the meantime I have been working on Love Scissor Fob by Shepherds Bush which I am really loving doing in between all the frogging. So that's all from me - and see it wasn't nothing after all it was LOADS!!! Silly me.

My three finishes (including finishing pinkeep)

This is the sampler I stitched for James & Danielle's upcoming wedding
(my son and future daughter-in-law)

This is the front of the Pinkeep for the Legacy Quaker XII Exchange

The back of the Legacy Quaker VII Exchange

I stitched this on 32ct Antique White Linen
with HDF Black Cherry silk floss
and the ribbon is also HDF's silk ribbon which is gorgeous.

I shall definitely sign up for the next one too. This one was so much fun and I loved every stitch I put into this apart from the finishing bit but I shall get better at this and do it properly next time I now have the finishing book by Louise Truswell and I shall just love finishing but the air here yesterday was really blue and my language was atrocious to say the least. I didn't know that I knew some of the words I used - ok it wasn't that bad but it could have been.

I have decided to make myself a monthly rotation and this rotation will be:

1. Week one doing ATS from the 1st of the Month to bedtime on the 7th
2. Week two doing my FAS (French Alphabet Sampler) from the 8th of the month until bedtime on the 15th
3. Week three doing My Treasure Workstation from Judy Odell and
when I am done with Judy's My Treasure Workstation I shall work on The Token by Long Dog Sampler which I shall stitch on either 28ct, 30ct or 32ct Brussels Linen over one using Vikki's HDF silks as a surprise for Larry (you know dh aka him who must not be obeyed) for our 40th Wedding Anniversary which is coming up on November 12 2007 from the 16th of the month until bedtime on the 22nd
4. Week four will be for anything I fancy or just catching up. I just figured that this way I wouldn't get bored with anything and quit halfway or a quarter way through it and that runs from the 23rd until the end of the month no matter how long it is.

Ok this is it from me for now anyway - I really should have been stitching anyway and not writing on here.
