What Does Your Candy Heart Say

Your Candy Heart Says "First Kiss"

You're a true romantic who brings an innocent hope to each new relationship.

You see the good in every person you date, and you relish each step of falling in love.

Your ideal Valentine's Day date: a romantic dinner your sweetie cooks for you

Your flirting style: friendly and sweet

What turns you off: cynics who don't believe in romance

Why you're hot: you always keep the romance alive

I thought this was a bit of fun on Valentines Day so do have a go.

Now on to the next subject.  Aside from stitching, through Facebook via my elder daughter Sara,  I have become totally addicted to Scrabble.  Anyway you play it online and I love it.  So I have been playing with this lady called Linda and one word she put down was Aliya.  Now I know what this word means and I thought as she had used it she must know too.  So being the total optimist that I am I told her that my friend's daughter had made Aliya last year.  She replied with "Oh that's a nice name".  Now I could have done one of two things.  Number one was to ignore it and number two was to say "It's not a name - don't you know what the word means?" and guess which one I chose?  Yep  the second option.  Well one shouldn't use words when they don't know their meaning.  So even though she said she wanted to complete a game I haven't seen hide nor hair of her for well over 3 hours so guess she will just let the game lie fallow for the next six days until I can claim it as a win because she was obviously cheating! Sorry I almost forgot - Aliya means that you emigrate to Israel.

I went to the doctor again yesterday because I had to.  My liver function tests have been coming back really high - well two of them have - since way before Christmas and bit by bit she - yes my doctor is a she and she is just lovely - anyway back to the liver one result should be around 100 and it's way over 600 so she isn't impressed and even taking me off of all my medication starting with my statin (if you don't know what a statin is then you don't have high cholesterol) but nothing has worked so I am becoming best friends with the phlebotanist (known as Dracula) and have to go and have a liver scan.  She reckons it could just be a fatty liver, in which case it just goes with the rest of me really, and I haven't asked her what the worst case is.

Last, but by no means least, I'm not talking to him upstairs because he yelled at me again.  So he's getting the silent treatment which I am finding extremely hard to say the least.  But I'm trying I really am because he really deserves it.  Just don't holler at me. I am not deaf.  Oh yeah and I almost forgot Stacy is back again but apologised and is behaving much better but it's only been 2 days and time will tell.

Lots of Love from me and thanks for listening - at least I get to talk here.

I got presents ant it's not even Christmas

I got a present today that I love love love.  It came from Deb who is just a fantastic stitcher and an even better finisher if that is at all possible and it came quite out of the blue and I just love it. Did I  mention that I love it.  Well here it is in all it's glory.

This is a Pumpkin by Crab Apple Studio

I don't know what kind of fabrics I shall use for this but they will have to be Autumn ones that's for sure.

I went to my friend Sandra just to get away from here for a few hours and look what she gave me:

It's The Elizabethan  Purse by Elizabeth Ann Toledo of Finger Works which Sandra had purchased and started two or three years ago and decided she would never finish and because she knew I loved it and had it on my Wish List she just gave it to me.  It's really lovely and I'm really grateful to both of you for your kindness and generosity.  Don't you find that unexpected presents are just the best.

On the James front he has now raised around 70% of the money he needs in order to run The London Marathon.  Although he is running it, as you know, for the MS Society the runners have to promise to raise a certain amount of money before the charities accept them and they have to live up to their end of the bargain and pay, at the very  least, the amount they promised they would raise.  And I think that if he doesn't raise it he will have to make up the balance himself so every penny really does count.

On the Larry front - his leg is getting better slowly but surely but he is now covered in a really itchy rash which the doctor prescribed some ointment for.  Poor thing he really is suffering and yes this is me the most unsympathetic person living on this earth that is saying this.

So that's it for now really except that Stacy has finally flown the coop and things are a lot calmer here that's for sure.  I don't know but a third adult living in the house sure causes a lot of stress and a load of arguments between him and me which did neither of us any good so I'm really really pleased to say that all is now the calm home this has been once again.

So until next time
