It arrived

I entered an exchange from The Legacy Embroiders Guild which was a summer sweetbag exchange. And who was I to sew for you ask? Wait for it ... it was Deb! You remember Deb she is my finisher. Can you imagine having to stitch (well my stitching is good even if I say so myself) by as good as my stitching is that's how crappy my finishing is. So I stitched it and gave it to my friend Janet (no blog sorry but I do have more of her stithching and finishing to share with you later) who is a superb finisher to finish it, and yes I did pay her to do it because I couldn't possibly ask with offering to pay. And here it is and it has arrived and Deb loves it (at least she said she did) and the goodies I enclosed as well.

This first photo is the sweetbag.

This second photo is of the bag on the lining that Janet used (I had it and gave it to her) because we both thought it went so well. I really enjoyed stitching this and thank g-d I didn't have to make it up. I could hardly send it to Deb and ask her to make it up for me and then say hey ya know instead of sending it back to me just keep it because it's your exchange. Now could I? But Janet really did finish it beautifully.

This third one is the sweetbag with the extras I put in. I would have put in chocolate but it was way too hot here at the time to do that because it might have melted over everything. So I gave her some Kath Kidtson stationary, a small book of Cockney Rhyming Slang and a couple of pieces of fabric that I bought here in the U.K. and Australia so hopefully she doesn't already have them

I have been pretty unwell since Wednesday with a kidney infection and feel awful but I needed to post anohter posting to let you guys know that I am not giving my ornaments away in this giveaway of mine - I do hope that most of you understood this because it wouldn't have been a secret giveaway if you knew what it was now would you? Nope I knew that but just wanted to make sure that you all knew that.

The other thing was that I didn't explain awfully well, well I was feeling pretty grotty on Tuesday as well but not nearly as grotty as Wednesday and the rest of this week, is that you get:

1 chance for just entering
2 chances for entering and becoming a follower of my blog
4 chances for doing the above and putting a link from your blog to mine telling about my giveaway.

I do so hope that I have explained this so much better now even if I do have a temperature and feel really bad.

So until next time ...

Lots of Love

Oh Patti, I'm so sorry you're feeling bad with a kidney infection! Ouch! I hope you heal up quickly. I saw Deb's blog with your exchange and thought it was just gorgeous -- and it is! lol on the idea of sending it to Deb to finish! It's great that you have a friend who could finish it for you -- she did a beautiful job. And you did great job on the stitching! Feel better soon. Hugs.

Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell Patti. I hope you feel better soon.

I saw the pretty sweetbag over on Deb's blog - it's gorgeous. Great finish by Janet - for a finisher to make a good job, the stitching has to be great too so well done to both of you!

Hi Patti! Did you mean to swap the criteria for 2 and 4 entries in your drawer over? 'Cos you have, you know!!!

Anyway, hope you're feeling A1 again soon. I have a heavy/achey bug at the mo, so I feel yack as well and can't even stitch! Ugh!

Oh, Patti, I am so sorry that you are not well. I hope you are feeling better soon. You stitching is lovely anyway and the sweetbag finish is beautiful. Are you sure you can't finish for yourself, your work is so fine - and they say practice makes perfect - apparently! Love Irene.

I don't for one moment believe your finishing is that bad: someone who stitches so beautifully can't do a cr*ppy job at finishing. But, your friend did a beautiful job with the sweet bag, it turned out gorgeous in every way!

Hope you feel much better soon!
