So I lied ...

But it's only a little one.  I said I wouldn't post again but I just couldn't resist.  Susan sent me this gorgeous pincushion ...

... with a note inside that said:
"Dear Patti,
Just a little something to let you know how much I value your friendship.
Hugs
Susan"

I don't think it is a birthday present, but I could be wrong and if I am Susan please correct me, but it just means so much to me.  Thank you dear friend.

So until next time ...

An Announcement

Sorry no pictures because everything I have been stitching lately has been for exchanges, that have yet to be received.

I have decided that I really do not like finishing things and much prefer the stitching part so in my infinite wisdom I have been sending everything to Deb in the States to be finished.  I am waiting for two things to come back (they are in the mail right now) and I have sent her one more to finish which she will mail directly to my partner who also lives in the States.

Like Deb (Lavender Rose Deb this time) I shall not be posting on this blog for at least a month.  Sorry about that but I have three pieces to stitch for the Jackie duPlesis classes that I am taking in the middle of May and they all have to be completely stitched by then so all of my attention is going to go on them.

Please forgive me if I don't read or post comments on your blogs because I really have to get these three things finished and also a birthday exchange for Pokua which I am going to be late sending because of my class pieces.

So until next time ...

Lots of Love

This was going to be a really lovely post

Well it was.  Most of it still is.  I received a really wonderful exchange from Lisa in Australia.  The exchange was entitled HOE Winter House exchange.  We had to stitch a 'Winter House', well gee,  and she got my name and this is what she stitched for me (sorry Lisa I 'stole' your photo):

Lizzie Kate - Snow Day
Stitched on dove blue/grey 28ct linen
Using DMC
Finished as a scissor pocket
Embellised with a white snowflake and two silver stars on the top ribbon lining

It is really a gorgeous exchange and I really really love it and thank you so much.

I got Edgar to stitch and finish for and I stitched a Pin Cushion for him.  Well I stitched it and Deb finished it for me because I have decided that even if I can finish stuff I do not enjoy it and would much rather be stitching so I am going to give Deb the majority of my finishing to do (if you are wondering why the two links to Deb it is because one is to her Picasa Web Albums and the other to her Blog).  So without further ado here  they are (some given by Deb and one stolen from Edgar's Blog)
This is the box that Deb put it in and I think it is just gorgeous

This is the Pin Cushion that I stitched but please don't ask me where it was
from because I honestly don't remember sorry but I did love stitching it
I remember what it's called.  Okay I didn't really Mary (Pumpkin)
did and it is by Bent Creek and called
'WINTER SNAPPERLAND'

and this is Edgar's photo of it once he opened the box

The thing that makes this post not lovely is that my brother's cancer has returned two months after he had surgery and this time it is in his liver and so the saga goes on.  Please say a prayer for him as he is only 58 and that is no age at all.  Our dad passed away when he was 49 and my brother always said he would die young.

So until next time ...

Lots of Love
